I recently bought this coffee press from planetary design[.].keeps coffee warm for 2 hours+ and is indestructible, which is a big bonus for me. I like this french press, but the glass tends to break easily, I've broken two in the last two years, and it doesn't keep the coffee warm for long. Also, it's a little hard to clean out the grounds that get stuck in the screen, I cut myself trying to clean the thing, watch out the edge is very sharp. Excellent for camping too.
I wrap a tea towel around it as an insulator while it's steeping. French press coffee is the most flavorful. Price is decent esp w/free shipping. Use a coarse coffee grind. This pot makes about 3 mugs worth of coffee. You won't find it online for less. and I couldn't locate it elsewhere at any bricks-and-mortar stores for less.
Total waste of money. This item arrived broken. Piece of trash. It is glass and they don't wrap it appropriately. Buy one local and don't order it to be shipped.
A few days after my purchase, the carafe broke. I believe it is too delicate. Maybe its just me though.
The glass is too fragile -- I would not recommend this product. I'm looking for something more durable.
